Tbh I wanted the Silver over the Gold or Black. Extremely frustrating as I wanted to pre-order. Does anyone have a reference where it states this colour is not being made available in the EU as I can't find anything?

From what I've read might be true not sure but after its finally in UK the silver & possibly white would come available but it's a guessing game how long after general release.  Samsung have done this before

Anyone on the iPhone 6  or 6S  tempted to jump over for an edge?

Yeah I'm extremely tempted to jump from my 6s  to the S7 Edge and I really want the Gear VR too, I know I'm going to regret it...

Like I said before, you can't beat the iPhone 6 Plus battery. That's the only thing I'm put off by! Android mobiles normally have poor battery compared

I jumped ship from iPhone 6S Plus to S6 edge plus. Not regretting decision at all. Had iPhone for 5 years and just found them boring now. Loving the bright screen, wireless charging and the android freedom.

Not sure that much of an issue as a lot of people would like to pop the SD card between phone and computer to copy files. Making an SD card only work with that phone is a nice idea but it will not work for everyone. Will be missed by some and not by others
There are plenty of complaints about battery life on both platforms. My Note 4 has all day battery life and i never bother taking a spare battery or portable charger. I only own another battery to rotate them out every other month in the belief it will maximise the life of the cells

I've got a 6s but want the s7 edge as well. Best of both worlds. Hopefully this is an android phone I keep for more than a few weeks.

If you're talking about the VR I got one for my s6 edge for Christmas it's awesome fun. Now I'll have two when I get the edge 7 from Vodafone and there dodgy VAT no included contracts. 38 a month seemed very reasonable really it's 45.
