Getting Google maps over Bluetooth

Have a problem with my S9 and using Google maps over Bluetooth.

Google maps and Bluetooth work fine on their own, and I can get Google maps to give Voice directions over Bluetooth fine, until I close the cover on the phone then maps stops running (Samsung led case).

Playing music and calls works fine over Bluetooth when the cover is closed but Google maps stops working

Anyone know how to make Google maps give me voice commands even when the cover is closed?

Found the problem was that Google maps was on the battery saver blacklist
