Hi all, Recently returned to love of HiFi after many many years away
So, here is my question to you lovers....already have the Marantz pm 6006 amp rated at 45W, is this sufficient power to make Celestion A1 or A2 sing ?

Wattage has very little to do with how well an amplifier can drive a speaker. It's more about damping factor, power supply stability and "drive" - that indescribable urge that some amps just have!

The Marantz will drive the speakers very well. They are from a time when Class AB amps of 30 - 60W were the norm and it will outperform a typical 100W AV amp with ease.

Thanks Noiseboy, the opinions I was hoping for
Have now updated my speakers, and settled for Monitor Audio Bronze 2 for the time being and to start me back on the road to modern separates
