Clearaudio Concept - Magnetic bearing issue

So I came to my turntable (Clearaudio Concept) this morning and despite no one having touched it since I last did, there's a problem. It seems the tonearm is stuck to the upper magnet. Doesn't a lower magnet normally keep it levitating between the two?

I'm a bit baffled. Everything else seems to be working normally.

Sounds very odd. Suggest you get the arm serviced and that you call in the gremlin hunters.

There’s a retaining wire that normally keeps the arm ‘anchored’ and prevents it being sucked up and stuck to the magnet at the top. I guess that wire may have failed.
