As someone who attended the real Woodstock Music & Arts Festival in 1969, the film gives an authentic representation of the amazing peace, cooperation and love that was shared for three days.
Elliot's story was a nice theme, and probably it is part truth and part fiction. It doesn't matter. The is a film worth watching. I enjoyed it throughout. Even though it wasn't shot at Max Yazgur's farm, the layout seemed familiar enough to feel true and bring back memories.
The fact that Elliott never makes it to the concert underscores that the music performances, although an impressive array of talent, wasn't what made Woodstock special. It was the remarkable kindness, joy and love shared by 500,000 people who believed that the world could be changed. And it was forever changed.
