Hi

I took off the cover of one of my PIR sensors to replace the battery and now I am unable to clear the "TAMPER-ALARM' error on the control panel.

From what I've read it would appear that the pin of the spring should be contacting the metal strip but as per the photo below there is nothing that would press these in to contact when the cover is reseated.

I'm assuming there's something I'm doing wrong but any suggestions as to what this may be?

I don't have the installer code to remove and add the PIR back.

Cheers

You will have 2 messages, 1. Tamper alarm (this is historic) - when you have replaced battery and pressed ok through then armed and disarmed it will clear) 2. Tamper open means the sensor is open (tamper is open)

Unfortunately it will not allow me to arm and then disarm as when I attempt to arm it says  "NOT READY MEMORY TRBL"

So are you saying that the spring mounted on switch (s2) is not making contact with the lid when closing the case? (Assumption is this is the tamper contact - the other spring being the aerial)

No it would appear to be making contact with the lid when closing the case as I can hear the same clicking noise as I can hear when I press the spring when the case is off.

You may then need the installer code to reset the tamper. Others can advise as I am not familiar with this model

If you push the spring with your finger does it recognise the tamper as closed?

Hi these pirs have a back tamper as well as the front spring tamper, remove the pcb and make sure that the rear tamper is made when you replace the pcb
