I have to say with all these hue deal that pop up, why can't they just do some discounted bulbs? I don't really need 5 base stations.

Considering buying Philips Hue but need GU10 bulbs. Approximately 10-12 in total. Waiting to see if any special deals appear on prime day.

Does anyone know the best current (non prime) deals for comparison?

Issue is I'm undecided if I want Alexa or Google home.

Any thoughts?

You have a choice of GU10 Hue bulbs. Personally I wouldn't recommend the colour version. Save money on the white ambient version (white ambient in Hue terms means adjustable white colour temperature) and use the savings to add colour elsewhere. The colour GU10s are a generation behind all other hue lights which means the colours are far less richer, especially blues and greens plus they're a tad longer than standard GU10 which can be awkward with some fittings.

I got mine in Nov 17 on a 3 for 2 deal but at the normal price of 39.99 so just under 80 quid for 6 bulbs, they're currently 33.99 for a twin pack which is much lower than when I bought mine so who knows what, if any, discounts will come, it's a rare Amazon sales event that doesn't include a fair bit of hue stuff though.

Thanks Jamie.

Found 8 bulbs for £80 at Argos. Plus some cashback if bought from topcadhback. Would still ha e to buy a GU10 based starter kit though.
