How high should my TV be

Sitting down i would reccomend 28-30", 42" is way too high, my tv is mounted 28 1/2" off the floor and i reckon it's the perfect height.

So You think 28 to 30 inches to the middle of the screen or the bottom?

To the bottom, sitting down that should be fine !

If you have an a/v rack you should have enough space for a center speaker mounted on top.

The correct answer to this is when seated your eyes should be one third from the bottom of the screen.

In your normal viewing position, middle of the TV in line with your eyes.

That's how I have always sited my tv's.

Never ceases to amaze me how people can live with tv's that are hung like picture frames - high up a wall or above a fire place. Not the most comfortable way to watch your favourite program!!
