Hi.

I really need your expert help. I was fiddeling around with the service menu on my new 40W4000, just checking out what could be changed, without any intention to save any changes. As i was scrolling down the list i found an option called Bravia or something like that, i selected that and just thought I would scroll through the options, not expecting anything would change by just scrolling. All of a sudden the TV restarts and goes into a test pattern mode, with different color screens rotating in a loop. The tv functions in the background, sound changes when pressing buttons for different channels etc.

Does anybody know how to get out of this mode? I've tried to restart the TV, pull the power etc. Is there a "factory reset" button combination or something similar?

Have you tried going back in to the service menu to change it back?

I managed to get out of the pattern, the main problem was that it even covered the service menu. Had to "feel" myself to the setting. The biggest problem now is that it identifies itself as an 40E4000, probably due to me accidentaly changing other values looking for the setting in question.
Are there any kind souls with an 40W4000 that can write down what settings are set as standard so that I can change them back?

I might regret asking this but how do you select the Service Menu?

you have to push the following buttons on the remote to get into the service menu:

info (top left corner), 5, volume up, standby.

You'll probably have to go into Currys/ Comet and go into the service menu on one of their sets. Then record what what you have to do to change the value you want.

Same thing happened to me today. Accidently changed the "Bravia" setting, and now i can't find my way back in the service menu. Maybe if someone could post pictures from the service menu, it wold be easier to navigate.

Hope someone have time to do help me out!
