Hi guys,
I've just purchased a new graphics card for my HP Pavillion Elite (HPE-599UK) and it freezes at the HP splash screen.

I am unable to get past this and have had to revert back to the onboard graphics which loads fine.

I have had a little google and it seems their is an issue with the Bios Version (7.15) which seems could be solved with the option to to disable secure boot and enable legacy boot which Bios 7.15 doesn't offer!!

It seems i have no other option than to return the Graphics card to Amazon unless some wizz out there knows of a solution?

I use the PC for Flight Simulator and read that this was a good graphics card without breaking the bank so went ahead and purchased it.
If there is no solution for this then please can anyone advise of a good compatible graphics card that would do the job and work with my currrent Motherboard / Bios Version?

These are my specs:

Graphics Card (New): Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1060 WF2 6GB GDDR5 PCI-E

PC : HP Pavillion Elite (HPE-599UK)
Motherboard: Pegatron 2AB6 Version 1.04
Bios: AMI7.15
OS: Windows 10 64bit

Thanks for your help and time.

Is there not a BIOS update for the PC, something newer than v7.15?

Could you rollback the firmware to an earlier version?

I sent the Nvidia graphics card back to Amazon and purchased a new Sapphire Radeon NITRO  RX 580 8GB GDDR5 (UEFI) graphics card as this was supposed to work ok.

Now i Just get a blank screen although led and fans are working on the Graphics Card.
I have also tried to switch the Bios on the card but still the same as it is supposed to support both Legacy and UEFI but just a blank screen !!!
I'm also using a new EVGA 500W psu.

These are my specs:

Graphics Card (New): Sapphire Radeon NITRO  RX 580 8GB GDDR5 (UEFI) graphics card

PC : HP Pavillion Elite (HPE-599UK)
Motherboard: Pegatron 2AB6 Version 1.04
Bios: AMI7.15
OS: Windows 10 64bit

Thanks Mike

I bet the picture is still using the onboard GPU.

You may need to change the GPU order in the BIOS/UEFI from onboard then PCIE  to PCIE first.

I've gone into the Bios using the onboard graphics but there is no option to change the order?

Ok, with the GPU card plugged in and PC powered on, which output gives you a picture on the monitor?

Sorry perhaps i didn't explain properly.
When i use just the onboard GPU i can get into the Bios but there is no option to change the gpu option or no option to disable/enable legacy support and then when i put in the new GPU (With Dual Bios Switch) the screen remains just blank...no beeps and no option to go into bios either by plugging the DVI into the onboard GPU or the new GPU. i have tried changing the switch on the new GPU but still nothing.
I can only get back into the PC by removing the new GPU?

Your onboard GPU is DVI output?
Your new GPU is HDMI? Display port?

Have you new cables? Or using existing cable with an adapter? What monitor?
