Oculus Rift S or Valve Index?

If its your first VR Headset, totally go for it! You'll be blown away. You'll be blown away by the Rift S too though tbh or the Quest. VR is just simply amazing and better than pancake game for actual gameplay.

The problem is we (gamers and community) are still figuring it out.

There are so many ways now to enjoy high end gaming..

1. High end VR with finger tracking or Portable VR with infinite room scale and no tether
2. High end 100''  Projector screens
3. Infinite contrast OLED Screens
4. Portable console experiences with the Nintendo switch

Really is a beautiful time to be in gaming.

My only advice with holding off of an Index purchase is to keep an eye on the Valve Index sub reddit. Controller issues and joystick clicking issues are still there and I think Valve have slowly solved the problem but old stock is definitely still out there. I'm personally waiting until the latest possible time to order mine as I don't want to get a dodgy hardware revision.

It's been a busy time for the Index. Most people ordering recently are being told to expect delays. That Half Life: Alyx announcement has done the business! If it reviews well, imagine what release will do! Good job, Valve... Finally!

You simply can’t go wrong with the Index. It’s not cheap but you do get what you pay for in this case.

Alyx is going to be one hell of a ride.

Why do you bring the rift s into this? He’s talking about the index and once again you devolve the conversation into a the vr civil war in your head.
