Hmm no it hasn't.

There's a ton of misinformation out there.

Without trying both for yourself how do you know for a fact that your information is not the misinformation?

Given that most of the negativity I've seen is from vive fanboys (or interested parties) I take any fov and brightness comments with a pinch of salt.

But you're right in that I don't know anything for sure [emoji2]

However, my point is this:  In all of the previews, these things have NEVER been mentioned.  People have tried both and there's not been any commentary on this.  On the Oculus reddit there are devs who have both, who have used both extensively, and have said categorically that you cannot tell which headset truly has the biggest FOV.

Regardless, there'll soon be plenty of headsets out there so these things will be put to bed soon.

Assetto Corsa dev diary goes into detail about VR plans. Won't be looked at til summer, they will look at wider support for VR than just the Rift (they don't mention Vive but that's the assumption I'm making), and they're looking at a menu system that can support VR too.

Mornin all.... Well I have seen an update on that terrible image of the lenses and the perceived FOV of the 2 HMDs and this one is much more reassuring.  It shows the VIVE still has a slightly bigger FOV, but that was always the case, I have not seen anything else suggest otherwise, the thing is now, the 2 are at the least comparable to each other, and that is plenty good enough for me.

if i find it again i will edit in here.
edit, cant find it, and have to do some work, however it isnt that the initial pic is wrong, but it is that it does not take into account both lenses, and the way the rift works means the 2 together brings it (almost) inline with the vive - the vive FOV was pretty much accurate it seems.
