vr app for looking at reality

I want to use a vr app to look through the phones camera in real time. Not virtual reality but actual reality through the phone.

Can this be done?

I can’t seem to find a camera app that uses the cameras internal phone, do they exist

I’d have been tempted to look through a bog-roll tube. Fov is abysmal though
