out of curiosity.... esp if you are keeping the disk yourself - can you not just stick the disk in a machine, remove the old partition using windows, and rebuild a new one.

sure, the data wont be FBI type wiped, but once you install windows back on it etc etc am pretty sure the data will be destroyed - but even if not, it is not like you are sending the disk off to a charity or something where the data may be fraudulently recovered.

Well I've just got instructions from the support staff of one of the partition managers on how to remove the partition using diskpart so I'll try that later.

Tracking is good for me. Blind spots in front of the headset but they only go blind when I hit the actual headset so thats fine.

Otherwise tracking is really really good for inside out tracking. I think it'll get better with further firmware updates and calibration and better prediction via controllers.

Great upgrade to CV1 for sure. Couldn't go back to it. For £399 compared to the Index, its a bargain but I kind of wish Oculus just added £100-150 to the price tag and added some more FOV and a decent audio solution.

I remember everyone berating the Vive for not having decent built-in audio (the included earbuds were...well, let's not go there).

Might be worth looking into low-latency wireless gaming headphones, assuming Oculus can redirect audio like SteamVR.

I originally dropped £90 on a set of wireless Turtlebeach Stealth 450's for my Vive, worked a treat and saved having an additional cable either dangling from the Vive or trailing back to the PC. The audio is better than even the DAS, but I still prefer the DAS for sheer convenience and comfort (the Stealth's shape kind of hurt my ears after long sessions).

dont expect miracles but the latest beta software update has "improvement to riftS built in sound" on the patch notes.  supposedly a noticable improvement

There are some clip on headphones for the PSVR that apparently work well with the ROFL-S.

I've found some people doing 3d print outs and taking apart porta pros, but it ends up costing £60 or so for the audio which I don't think is worth it compared to plugging in a short 3.5mm cable and attaching some headphones.

August EP650s work perfectly.

Oh well, the bad news is that somehow I've managed to lose everything on two of my drives after a load of fudgeing about.

I also found out that I had Boot Manager setup in my BIOS somehow. I think this hacker may have installed another version of Windows 10 onto my system SSD which he was using to spy on me. fudge knows how he did it.

Formatted my system SSD after bypassing this Boot Manager by changing my boot order in my BIOS. Booted from my DVD drive, reinstalled windows and deleted everything from that drive including the partitions and everything.

Once Windows 10 was clean installed I found that my SSD with all my Oculus stuff and my hard drive with all my downloads were listed as 'foreign' for some reason. Converted them to Simple drives hoping my data would still be on there but nope. All gone. Won't take me long to download everything again and luckily my massive VR Porn collection and the models I've done for my game are on another drive which was unaffected.

And after all that my SSD that had 110GB missing now has the full 480GB. That was completely unrelated to the compromising of my system and email accounts though, it's been like that for ages. A nice side effect of everything getting sorted out so it's not all bad news

Might be wrong, but that could be your answer right there.
Its well known that viruses are installed through porn downloads.

To be honest, if my PC was infected I would format ALL my drives as you don't know if something is on another and will just migrate over to the clean drive taking you back to square one.
