I'm after a tablet for my 7 yo son. His Amazon Fire tablet is dead and we had nothing but problems with it, so I don't want to replace it with the same.

I've been browsing various tablets for the last few days but the choice is overwhelming. I see lots of tablets looking exactly the same, only difference are specs. I'm not very up to date when it comes to tablet specifications.

I want this tablet to last him quite a while. I would prefer Android tablet, 8-10", good specs, good screen (IPS 1080p minimum), lots of storage (16GB minimum, but preferably more), preferably Samsung, but I'm open for suggestions.

Budget up to £200, but preferably less. Second hand is fine, so is refurbished.

Any ideas please?

Mods: I would appreciate if this could be left in General Chat for a couple of days please

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 would  meet your requirements except on price but with Black Friday coming you may find it reduced somewhere.

Yes, it looks like a great tablet. I saw them reduced to £249 on pre-black friday deals. A bit much if I'm honest, but keeping an eye on them.

Thank you. I'll keep that in mind. I know the specs are good, but it is still a bit much for me if I'm honest.

I was thinking of listing my Sony Z2 tablet in the classifieds, if that'd be of any interest?
