Had a note from them yesterday saying sorry,  and nothing more.
It's three weeks since the delivery, which could have been re-collected the next day.

Now three weeks and two days, with the money back in my account today, thanks to PayPal.
The only problem now is that I wanted a new tablet NOT the refund, and they knew that.

Moral of the story: Don't order from Currys.

I certainly shan't - though the price was special, now back to normal!
There are a couple of firms with it new at £180 less than Curry's price - any drawbacks?

Depends upon who they are.

If it's some badly coded site written in chinglish with no telephone numbers you can contact them on and delivery takes a fortnight from abroad then I'd avoid like the plague, but if its a respected etailer or bricks and mortar sotre then there's no issue.

Currys is the last place I ever go to buy anything remotely expensive. Just a place to drop into if I need something cheapish that can't wait 24-48hrs and the price isn't a ripoff. I usually just wait and buy online.
