Had high expectations..,Very disappointed

Maybe I was expecting too much from Blinded by the light. Bend it like Beckham is one of my favorite movies. It also had elements of two other films I loved, Billy Elliot and Sing Street. On top of that, Bruce Springsteen is my favorite reciting artist.

This film doesn't work. I could not like or relate to any of the characters except maybe Roku. The romance didn't work. Unlike Bend it, I didn't like the main character or the family. Also, I found the music annoying.

I found myself wanting to walk out, but I stayed until the end. The final speech seemed to try too hard to pull on my heart strings.

I do not recommend this movie.
