I have both the Huawei Watch 2 and Samsung Gear S3, my two favourite smartwatches (I like large watches with plenty of features), but I've had them for a while now and am looking to see what we have to look forward to this year in the smartwatch market, but nothing is standing out to me.

Which smartwatches are people actually looking forward to this year and why?

I've been pondering this. I have the Sony Smartwatch 3 which I've had since it was released and it had been faultless but it's getting on a bit, no Wear 2.0 and not the highest resolution.
I also use my Smartwatch for a lot of my gym and sport activities..

I thought the HW2 was the meant to be about the best for my usage at this time?

LG sport watch was rated the best, but sadly no UK release!
I've had it with my Android Wear watch (Moto 360 2nd gen) the OS is a pain in the ass.

I've been thinking of going to Samsung and trying out Tizen.

Google wear software needs a complete redesign and all the bugs fixing. Wear 2.0 for me has been a disappointment, 1.6 was much more stable

Ok that's interesting. My Watch is on 1.5 and has been completely flawless. I just want a newer one with a better screen.

I had the Sony and it was great, I just didn't like the square watch. The Moto 360 was a great upgrade, but once it updated to wear 2.0, my notifications would stop, battery drain was massive and now Google assistant never works on mobile data, only on WiFi.

No amount of factory resets work. It affects more then one watch manufacturer, yet Google won't address the issues. My latest tweet to them just points me to the same webpage as before.

I've just ordered a Samsung Gear Sport.
Read too much online where people have problems with Wear 2.0
Never thought I'd ever move away from Google for anything as I love it and I'm heavily invested in it but it seems like there is too many problems with Wear OS 2.0 and they aren't making efforts to fix it.

Let's hope Wear OS brings with it a fresh list of new wearables in the summer.
