Will you be swapping your Fitbit Charge for the Charge 2

Does anybody think that the Fitbit Charge 2 will be good enough to warrant swapping over from an existing Charge HR?

Does it have any "killer features" that would make it worth my while?

I'm intrigued, I wrote to them literally the other week as the strap is failing on my charge HR, the strap is not interchangeable (so it's effectively disposable!).
Needless to say their customer service was great and sending me a new one, however....there is a 4-5 week delay (mid September), wondering if they have already stopped production of the charge and will supply a charge 2, fingers crossed!!

With the charge 2 you CAN change the strap so a big advance there (can have a bit more style with it too).

I don't think that they will cancel the Charge\Charge HR, they will probably discount it, and end one of the lower priced models.

I read it is being discontinued, the charge is basically being replaced by the  Alta, and the charge Hr by charge 2 afaik.

I might change to the Charge 2. My Charge has been replaced 3 times already due to the band quality (bubbling and splitting) despite me looking after it, keeping it out of water etc. Fair play to Fitbit for their customer service levels, they've sent me a free replacement every time. But the band quality is awful in my experience.

So the interchangeable bands on the Charge 2 would be a good thing in my view.

I'm debating whether to do this or go Apple Watch 2. Not sure I can yet justify the additional cost of the Apple Watch.

Quick update, but my replacement charge HR arrived, same model, just the device (no cables), but pristine condition!

After much debate with myself on whether I'd go with an Apple Watch (everything else I have is Apple) I just replaced my Charge HR with the Charge 2. Decided that I am more than happy with the Fitbit app for health stats and I don't need waterproofing, GPS etc. Oh, and it's much cheaper of course.

Two weeks in and I think it's excellent.

The screen is very good. Bigger and brighter than before. I like having time/date, steps and HR all visible when using "quick view".

It's pretty smart / sleek for a tracker, I've finally put my traditional watch in the drawer and now use the Charge 2 as a watch. Being smaller than an Apple Watch it doesn't scream out "I've got tech on my wrist" as much. It's a bit more conservative which I prefer.

Battery life is good, I'm getting 4-5 days between charges. I'd say it's slightly better than my Charge HR on battery life.

The cardio fitness addition to the app seems interesting too.

Removable straps are also a key benefit - my Charge HR was replaced 3 times due to strap bubbling issues. With this I may well invest in another strap for daily use and use the standard one in the gym.

So, overall, happy with the Charge 2. I'd say either those new to Fitbit or Fitbit users currently with a Charge HR would enjoy the upgrade.

Toying with the charge 2, but the lack of GPS bothers me a little as i don't want to take my 6  with me on runs.  However, do i need to take it? Will the fitbit record what i do so i can sync it later?  If so i think it's a no brainer, although the Garmin gps watch is a possibility...

Looks like you can now pick one up for £118 (down from initial pricing at £149), making it a bit more affordable
