Beginner's Tripod?

I'm currently on a photography course and my tutor's asked us all to get tripods.  At this time I don't want to spend much (I've only just bought a new lens) so can anyone recommend a decent yet cheap tripod please?

Ideally folding as compact as possible without the legs of a new born Bambi.

What's not spending much? Less than £200, £100, £50?

Er more like £30 max.  I don't even need one yet imo.

What camera and lenses will it need to support?

Nothing heavy.  Sony A6300 with 50mm lens.

Buy cheap buy twice, you may not need one now, but in the long term you will find you do!

This link is for the tripod i use...........been using it for 3 years and its brilliant...solid and great ball head.  Free bag to.  Its a solid tripod and does the job.  Never had an issue.

If your just starting out...............you DON'T need anymore than this.  Maybe later if you need something taller or more compact (although this is pretty compact) or better head for vids............This is all you need.

Don't pay a fortune to start with

Honest..........Best tripod I've used and I have used lots.  And just because some of these big brand names have big price tags doesn't always mean better quality...I know.....I have tried them.

Get this................you will not regret it

Do you reckon a ball head is a necessity?  Has to come from Amazon too as I have vouchers to use up.

Yes the ball head is essential...

It's only £22 mate!

Amazon will sell you a crap tripod for more money... Or Amazon basics stuff!  Get the one from eBay.... You will be well pleased.  Use the Amazon voucher for spare memory card e.c.t
