Nice little win for India. I wonder if anyone watched it and saw the DRS decision against Umar Akmal, which the commentators were convinced should be given not out but was given out, maybe on the basis of a miniscule flicker on snickometer.

India are probably fans of DRS after that dodgy incident!

As said the news is covering it and no doubt people will become cricket fans for a few weeks.
It's becoming a very popular sport, especially around the suburbs of Dublin. My nephew has been playing for his local club in Skerries, North Dublin and both he and his dad are fanatics.
Not a sport I take much interest in personally.

Ireland are a bloody good side, very hard working with a bit of flair thrown in. It's a travesty they're not allowed to play test cricket, whilst the likes of Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are. It would also stop the exodus of players like Morgan going to play for England.

On balance I thought it was just about the right decisions. There was enough of a flicker to justify it being given out.

Absolute disgrace from England today, utter shambles. If that had been one of the associate sides everyone would be saying that they had no place at the World Cup.

I watched the first 25 overs or so and while we were not doing great, Southee was the only bowler that was giving us any problems. We were plodding at about 4 an over when I gave up and went to bed but I never expected a collapse like that, I'd have stopped up otherwise!

Losing seven wickets for 19 runs is one thing, but then to let them knock off that score in just 12 overs is a whole other level of ineptitude. Absolutely farcical.

I'm watching the highlights now and New Zealand battered us. They clearly had the fight and desire which England seem to be lacking, and McCullum just smashed the ball all over the park. He just attacked the ball every time and England didn't seem to know what to do.

What a game from Afghanistan, very close on beating Sri Lanka. Wasted a lot of good balls, they should have had a minimum have another 20 runs on their rally.

They're still above England on the results table lol

Major upset in the cards when they had SL at 50-odd for 4. Pity they couldn't finish the job off.

The Associate sides have put up a decent show so far.
