Anyone watching it?

Adrian Lewis has walked into a crash in Van Gerwin here. I remember last years final with VGW and Taylor and thought that this guy could dominate. Utterly hammering Lewis in this semi and nailed on winner imho, because Wright won't live with him on this form. In fact he'll be lucky to get a set.

Lewis whitewashed 6-0 in the semi. Complete one sided destruction from MVG. Awesome display.

Not seen domination the likes of this since Taylor a few years back.

Unfortunately I cancelled my Sky Sports package a few months back so gutted to be missing the World Championships but been following it on the PDC website.

That was indeed some hammering and I'll be surprised if MVG doesn't dethrone The Power soon and maybe dominate for a VERY long time.

Early days but with age on his side maybe he could even beat Taylor's record of World titles one day

It's certainly a possibility as he's only 24. His scoring at almost every visit is so consistently heavy that the opponent has no chance if they cannot get to a double first and hit it within a couple of darts.

If he keeps his focus on the game and does not get distracted he will dominate like Taylor did - he looks that good.

Taylor even at 50odd is still an amazing player but I think time has finally caught up with him. 16 titles is some going though.

Yes Lewis was scoring heavily but couldn't hit the doubles and if you're up against someone who can score equally as heavy, you've got to hit them or it's curtains. It's why Taylor is so good. He doesn't often need more than a couple of darts at a double.

Wright is a very good player but that semi was the best I have seen him throw - ever. If he can maintain that level in the final (and he will have to), he has an outside chance but, I can't see MVG's level dropping enough to allow him to get a good foothold for long enough to dent Michael's confidence.

Could quite easily be another whitewash but I really hope Wright makes a game of it. Would be fantastic if he won.

This looks like it's going to be over before 9.30pm. Wright must be wondering what's hit him here. He's getting utterly blown away..

Wright needed that set. I think that double 8 for MVG to seal 5-2 has probably won it for him.

Good couple of sets from Wright though.
