Murray is prone to injury, also he likes to be the drama queen on court when things go wrong.

He is Scotland's best - no doubt about that. Pity there isn't a British player!

why the Murray hatred out of curiosity? I hope its not still from that completely out of context quote that the rag tops ran with!

I would suggest it probably is.  He'll be hanged for that (mis)-quote for the rest of his days.

I'm supporting him (but then I'm Scottish).

If he get knocked out or loses in the final, he'll be Scottish, but if he wins he'll be British

I am sure there are some that might have other reasons, fair enough, we all support different sportsmen and such but its a shame that quote will hang over him like that, especially when it was taken so out of context. I'll be supporting him throughout myself

What quote?

If he wins he'll still be Scottish. There is no doubt he is a Scottish person.

I think anyone who still harbours the pathetic grudge against Murray for telling a joke, needs to get on to BBC iPlayer and watch the documentary about him.

I am right behind him. He's British, he's ours! Come on Andy!

When he was either in late teens or early 20s at Wimbledon the World Cup was also on and when asked "because Scotland failed to qualify you won't be able support anyone at the World Cup will you?" (Or words to that affect).

Murray responded with "I will so have someone to support. Anybody But England!"

It was a throw away comment that follows him around like a bad smell and people wonder why he is so guarded with the press and in interviews.

I hate it when I hear people say can't stand him & don't want him to win. He is Scottish but he is also British & we should all get behind him. I would love to see him win. I am not one who goes to open bus parades for sports people but I would defo go to that.

On the other hand others have said Djokovic is better than him, which is there opinion. But I got the impressions those that said that were stating an opinion but would still love the Great British hope to do it...
