It's a shame the BBC makes such a pigs ear of the scheduling every tournament.

Higgins/Holt match stopped part way through so the red button could be used for the exact same thing they were showing on BBC One!

It's infuriating.

Don't get me started on BBC coverage these days, last night what was on bbc2 7-8 dads army !!

Been very poor for years imo since the second red button stream went on freeview and only last year or so is it all online but not everyone is setup to view that option.

This morning a good few minutes before the streams were on the front sport page, there are there if you have the links from before.


My semi-final line-up is :

Trump vs Williams/Murphy

Allen/Higgins vs Robertson

That's my spread bet , i do a £20 on favourite and then spread the winnings over the overs.  Break even or make some then hopefully and I do the occasional match bet if a favourite gets behind and I think they will make a comeback.  Just waiting for the day I get a bet on a 99-1 comeback for a tournament win, missed out on Higgins agains't Williams a few years ago when Williams was over the line 9-5 up but lost that frame and the next 4 !Ding out already , shame as I enjoy Dings style.

Almost but Brecel came through so that made up for it.  One day I'll get one of those split second long shots bets right.

Top half of the draw is pretty open now but I reckon Murphy is favourite now and Robertson was on fire yesterday and look pretty angry at not winning 6-0.

Fu looks good as well but can he keep it up for more than a match or two?

What a match late last night, 5-2 down and Higgins turned it on like he seems to be able to do time after time.

A cracking 147, not to many tricky shots bar the position from the last red was brilliant i still don't know how he did/risked it.  And then a final frame battle 50 something behind i think with some hard shots started to lose position on the colours but potted a mint blue and was perfect on the pink. Somehow he missed it and Davis only needed the pink which after a few safety shots he got.  John said he tired to pinch the pink in to get easier on the black but after seeing loads of his comebacks I would've bet the farm on him to win on that pink/black and probably a bit before that.

A couple of hard to watch matches yesterday also, King vs Brecel was dragging until Luca got going. King got 3 nil up without playing well just grinding and then continued to do that while Luca started to play well.  Players that push reds up to the balk line as soon as possible annoy me as they know it is going to be a messy frame and King played that shot loads yesterday.

Robertson Vs Hawkins was another grinder, Hardly ever seen Robertson give some many chances in almost every frame his high break was a 60 i think.  Hawkins will be sick I reckon as he should have had him but he threw all his chances away.  I think Neil will step up now and win this.

Still some good snooker this week but I think Luca is about to have his bubble burst today.

I know, that was not on the cards at all at 8-4 down.  He must be buzzing right now, great win for him.

Played 5 frames of no miss snooker and only gave Carter a small sniff in the last frame.

Could be a cracking match starting shortly,I'm backing Murphy today and have put my winnings from this week on him.  If Selby gets proper far behind i might put a small one on him as he can scrap out a win with anyone which is why Ronnie hates his playing style.
