I think it should be pointed out that some volunteers are being confused with the paid stewards as the only way to distinguish the two are that volunteers wear beige coloured trousers and stewards black trousers. In my experience as a volunteer at Horse Guards Parade in the Olympics there were indeed some very badly mannered stewards, which got many volunteers annoyed as it brought the nice family atmosphere we were all striving for into question. That said of course, your 'volunteer' could have been just that having a bad day

I'm aware of the difference, it was a volunteer but yeah perhaps they were having an off day.

Best day ever! Arrived at 9am with 2 10 year old boys in tow and we left at 9pm not bored once. Only paid for the one session of football but got 2 and some goal ball as well and coupled with all the other stuff to do we had a whale.

Same here, I'm pretty excited that I get to see the Oliveira versus Pistorius re-match in the 100 metres T44 (as well as featuring our very own Peacock and America's Singleton)

I was there yesterday for the time trials, had a great time. The beautiful weather also helped.  Alex Zanardi and Sarah Storey winning gold were the highlights of the day
