I had earlier reservations as to the thinking behind the stadium's design but those are all but scattered now - the thing's a beaut. Just hope West Ham don't get their filthy paws on it!

Although it isn't as grand as the opening ceremony it is doing what it is suppose to.

It brings the athletes and nations together to celebrate the games and achievements.

Personally I think it's great.

It makes me proud to be British.
