5 more seconds in the fight and he would have been unconscious.

I agree though, if it hadn't been for that late assault Bisping might have taken that round and won the fight, but he didn't.  It was the correct decision.

Bisping's 3 decision losses were all close but all correct IMO. So it irritates me that he constantly moans that he has only "really" lost once.

I think Bisping matches up horribly against Silva. I reckon it would be an early 2nd round KO but thats assuming that Silva takes his usual 5 minutes of feeling his opponent out. If however Bisping engages him too much, like Forrest Griffin, then it will finish in the 1st.

I agree. Bisping isn't a finisher unless he can totally overwhelm an opponent, usually with knees. There isn't a hope in hell that he would overwhelm Silva and he's not going to last 5 rounds without getting KO'd.

Woo hoo Shogun vs. Vera is the new main event at UFC on FOX 4.

I know this is getting heat for being a mismatch but I'm in LA for this and Shogun is my favorite fighter! Not only that but this will be my first ever live event so I'm stupid happy.

Can I ask what is the best way to get tickets, should I just buy from the UFC's website?

Look, I think the guy's a knob but he's won enough fights to have earned the shot.  His record is excellent.  And as for the fight against Sonnen, I felt he did enough.  Admit it, if he'd won that decision you wouldn't have had a problem with it.  That's how close it was.

Sure, he has holes in his game but look at Sonnen, he punches a guy 200  times on the floor and still gets subbed out.

Silva may well kick lumps out of Bisping but I think Bisping deserves the shot.  Especially over Sonnen, if only morally.

Depends on the venue, but it's usually through Ticket[-]bastard[/-] sorry Ticketmaster.

There will be a Fight Club presale 2 days before the general release, and a UFC newsletter presale 1 day before. You have to pay for the FC membership so it's probably not worth the dough, doesn't always help anyway.

If there is a Newsletter presale, the password is usually available without too much searching, or you can sign up free for the newsletter on the UFC site I think.

I only have the basic FC membership these days or I'd help you out in the FC presale but drop me a PM closer to the date and I'll get you a barcode for access to the FC Q&A and weigh ins.

But you earn a title shot based on quality of opponent, not quantity.

Jim Miller won 8 in a row at LW but still had to defeat a top 5 guy to earn a shot, and he failed against Ben Henderson in a title eliminator.

Bisping has won 4 in a row a few times, but until he beats a top 5 fighter I don't agree that you can say he deserves a title shot. He deserves a step up in competition, but if he takes that step up and loses, what can you do?

And as for quantity, (I could go on another rant here...) most of Bisping's UFC wins have been against utter crap, (McCarthy, Day) or decent fighters but ones who match up terribly against him (Kang, Dan Miller, Jason Miller).

Leben is the only worthwhile scalp that Bisping has IMO.

PS, yes I would have had a problem if he won the Sonnen decision. I think the W Silva and Evans losses were closer than the Sonnen one.

Thanks DrPhil that's just the kind of info I was hoping for.

I had assumed I could just get tickets from the venue (The Staples Centre) but I'll get them online as soon as they come up.

Thanks again mate!
