Malta doesn't look that warm jan feb march 55-60, when were you thinking of going

If you go to egypt unless you like sitting on a toilet a lot i'd only go for all inclusive, the big hotels control all aspects of  guest food production on site so they can minimise the chances of food poisoning

I went to luxor 20 years ago, only ate inside the hotel, didn't have a problem, some of the guests that wanted to experience the real egypt got just that

Been to Egypt 10 times and never had a problem. Eating in and out the hotel.
My tip is to take a load of alcohol gel (3 for £1) and use it every time you handle money. You wouldn't believe how much germs spread through money

So, seems Malta is not going to be warm enough.

Thinking of Florida now. Flight prices are pretty expensive though.

I love FL. having spent 20 odd holidays over there until recently, costs are going up though with a weak £.

Good choice though!

I went a long time ago. Toured round for three weeks and went to Sanibel Island and down 7 mile bridge to Key West. Loved it too. But just seen this post about Boca Grande:
Sounds wonderful!

I just had a touch over 5 weeks in Florida in the run-up to Xmas.  Glorious.  Mid-high 80s throughout except for two "cold" snaps - high 60 - low 70, lasted two days each plus one daytime shower and one evening downpour.

Only real downside is the flight costs and length of time in the air. But the weather sounds perfect!

Well, yes, I suppose so.
Flight costs depend on when, and whether there is a sale, etc.
And time in the air.  It's only a portion of the end-to-end trip.
Realistically it takes me
~ 1.5 hours to get from home to Manchester (my preferred departure airport for across the pond) regardless
~ 2 hours minimum check in time
~ 8.5 hours outbound flight time (less on the return, typically)
~ 0.5 - 1 hour (average) to clear the airport at the far end
~ 0.5 - 1 hour (depending on exactly where and how) to get to my chosen hotel
= ~ 13-14 hours door to door.

If the flight were 4 hours shorter (eg to Tenerife) then everything else would still be there and it would still take me 9-10 hours.  In the overall scheme of things, it's not that huge.  And (IMO) it's worth it!

You might look at Gambia. Good weather and some bargains. Only issue is how much you get hassled by locals when on beaches and towns.
