Amazing show. So much charm and genuine love and care for the source material. The animation is absolutely gorgeous and fluid with so much appeal. (Love that secondary action). The backgrounds and layouts, character designs and color scripting are also top notch. I really, really appreciate the hand drawn animation that you just never see anymore. The staging, character acting and dialogue is also just incredibly well done... And the voice actors do a great job bringing Sam, Guy, EB, Michellee, etc to life.

I'm gushing, but, this adaptation is just so cleverly done. With such a limited source material, it does wonders, subverting expectations and keeping it fresh while not straying too far from the typical Seussical charm.

To the naysayers- Sure, some character and plot tropes might be a little over-done, but the overall package is so undeniably charming (how many times have I used that word?) and enthralling that you'd have to be crazy to think they are a detriment to the series. Tropes are tropes for a reason. Also, stick it out - there are twists and turns you might not expect from this show. Also, don't immediately discount it just because it's animated. There are plenty of mature themes and jokes that will keep adults and anyone who grew up with Seuss books happy and entertained.

In short, I can't recommend this show enough! One of my absolute favorites in the past few years, animated or not. Kudos to the whole writing, art, production teams and cast! You'll like it anywhere - in your house, on a boat, with a fox, with a mouse! Just try it!
