electric drum kits?

I developed a habit of tapping the steering wheel with my fingers, but my left foot to the bass drum parts. Trouble is, when I got back behind a kit after a 20  year break that made me struggle with the bass drum/hi hat as my hands were like a right handed player and my feet like a left handed player. I've only done two 3 hour rehearsal sessions but I'm slowly getting back into playing (and trying not to left foot tap in the car ).

I only met the guys I play with through a guitar class though, but our drummer was too unreliable. I fancy treating myself to one of the Roland or Yamaha electronic kits...you wouldn't have thought I'd have time to practice guitar and drums, but I only come on AVforums once a day for a quick scan instead of spending hours reading (and posting). It's surprising how much time that has freed up.

Yea that never fades. I can remember the lengths i used to go to to learn something that i had listen too and even resorted to tapping my hands and feet in unison while i was in bed.(before i fell asleep)

Yea steering wheels are fantastic, its amazing how your right hand can make a good bass sound and your left can make a great snare sound in the car. The dashboard always produces a great high end audio sound, like a stewart copeland snare drum.
