I went ahead and created an AVForums team, I used to do this folding stuff for MadOnion/Futuremark, a worthwhile cause.

Anyone who wishes to contribute to the AVForums folding team simply needs to use 54579 as the team number and away you go!

The bloke who worked to get Folding at Home on the PS3, said the Cell will outpace any CPU on the home market at the moment, so maybe expect this team to outpace some of the teams only using PC's.

Great.  And no this isnt just a marketing push.  Stanford Uni has been doing distributed computing (using PC downloads) for years, this is just the first time a console has been involved.  

Good for both parties i guess?  Sony gets "we are saving the planet" marketing, and Stanford gets more CPU time.
