What is the original build
also sound cards are a big waste of money

ss sulaco Publish time 27-11-2019 04:23:39

its posted start of this thread. they range from 400 -1500

Sniper Ash6 Publish time 27-11-2019 04:23:40

I'll look over them tonight and check they're still relevant and the best they can be. Onboard audio has improved so much that for the large part (unless specifically after a feature onboard audio cannot provide) the money is better spent elsewhere.

thekeemo Publish time 27-11-2019 04:23:41

Its not the best. I'll make another one for you soon.

Here's one that is under your budget, PSU allows you to add another card

This is the one I would personally go for as I don't care for SSDs

ChuckMountain Publish time 27-11-2019 04:23:44

Yes its over budget but you also need a case so that bumps you another £50 min so its no longer a £1500 build.

Swap out the 2 Fury for 1 x 980Ti and a case and you are back to £1,500 or so.

thekeemo Publish time 27-11-2019 04:23:45

Yes this is definitely what to do if you have a hard set budget
Another thing you can do is get rid of the ssd

ChuckMountain Publish time 27-11-2019 04:23:46

Me and thekeemo disagree on SSD, I wouldn't live without them now, but I am sure his hard drive has alien speed enhancing properties //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gif

It depends what res you are intending to game on whether you need two GPUs at the moment or one.

moonbeam120 Publish time 27-11-2019 04:23:47

Couldn't disagree more about the SSD. That's like buying a Ferrari and putting a diesel engine in it.

You could cut costs by getting a 256GB SSD they can be had for as little as £60 these days.

thekeemo Publish time 27-11-2019 04:23:47

hey at least I put one in. I was contemplating just leaving it out. Personally I can't feel the difference in performance except when it comes to noise.
