Gripping drama at its best

Douglas Livingstone's adaptation of John Wyndham's classic book is surely one of the best dramas of the genre ever to appear on British Television.

On a similar post-apocolyptic not to the BBC's other main foray into this subject, "Triffids" seems somewhat more real, and certainly less rose-tinted than "Survivors". But that probably stems as much from Wyndham's excellent story writing as the TV production itself.

Whether you've seen the similarly-titled film or not, the TV series is most definately worth viewing. If you can find it!
