Nice to watch a gay themed film that's not another gay coming out story. It's a story of a couple that could easily be a straight couple, it's about finding love and encountering opposition from family. However it's not filled with all the usual stereotypes that are recycled in gay films - homophobia of families or team members or fellow students...one of the gay partners dies...gay man falls for straight man...one of the partners can't admit his sexuality...the couple drifts apart because they can't overcome opposition...there are so many cliches in gay films. Refreshing to watch a film about a gay couple who are normal and their sexuality is not the center of the film.
