I watched this film on Sky, have to admit I had never heard of this camp. Did not even know it was a true story. I know it was not 100% based on facts, but what they showed with the gas chambers was for me some of the most upsetting scenes I have ever seem, and the scenes with all the jewellery from the dead people.
After watching it I heard about a TV film that was made in the 80s, that was a U rating in my opinion compared to this one which was way more brutal in showing the truth.
Its shows monsters with no threat of law or order doing as they wish with fellow human beings. You often here the excuses that "we were ordered to do it" What the local people in the village, they were as bad as the Nazis. One person has written this should not be entertainment people should speak to survivors or read books, the silver screen gets the message over to millions more people than a book does. This film should be showed in schools, all over the world, to show that normal people can become evil monsters who with no law and order can do unspeakable horrors to their fellow man and woman. and then have the excuse "we was ordered to do it"
score 5/10
