score 2/10
Overwrought. Far too many hands touched the story and tweaked it, until it became a misshapen soulless thing. This movie was obviously written for 3-D, but the problem is the story is beyond ridiculous. Its like snails in a snail world but also in the human world, but it never establishes itself in either world, so the result is an uneven narrative. Then there is the "message" of 'you just gotta believe in yourself and follow your dreams' and all that stuff, which is nice don't get me wrong, but like a snail that races in the Indy 500, I mean there is no parallel to anything like that in real life, then the snail is only fast cause of some freakish act-of-God, I mean couldn't the real message of this movie be argued to be that you can succeed in pursuing any impossible dream provided you are bestowed with a power wholly beyond the laws of nature and physics? What kind of message is that?
