Thought I recognised the road and then knew it was Crosshands when saw roundabout. To be fair you are being a little hard on yourself. Looks like you had made the overtake and you were in front. They then undertook you and cut you up. No way they did not know  you were there.

Reported somebody yesterday for jumping a red light. It had been red for around 30 seconds but they were impatient, went down the outside and nearly ran someone over.

Disagree he hadn't made the over take, he was very hesitaten in over taking  the mini bus. He caught up with ease but then matched the mini busses speed

Whilst I agree that I would find him irritating and annoying with such an overtake. However the only correct action would have been for the minibus to slow down and go behind.

That would have diffused the situation and avoided this kind of dangerous behaviour.

Perhaps the video and my description were not as clear as they could have been. My speed is a constant 70mph until the first indication of the upcoming junction at which point it decays to match the new (30) limit visible to the right just before he leaves his lane.
I'd estimate his speed to a constant 60mph until just after I'd passed him.
I started slowing down for the junction  before he did.

The issue I find with that clip (and many other people on the motorway) is that you are pretty much travelling at the same speed as him. Now to me the right hand lane is for overtaking. So pull out, overtake (and possibly speed up) then pull in and slow down. Or just slow down a little and stay behind the vehicle in front. I hate people who pull out and are travelling a few mph higher than the vehicle they are overtaking. Often slowing me right down.
Obviously the mini bus is in the wrong.

For the first 59 seconds of the clip I am driving at exactly the speed limit with nothing behind me.
For the first 59 seconds the van is driving at (my estimate) 60mph.
At the 59 second mark I spot the first sign of an approaching junction and it coincides with drawing level with the white transit van. I take my foot off the gas pedal and my car begins slowing  for the junction.
At no point was I deliberately overtaking,  or had particularly noticed, the white van. It was merely one of dozens in the left lane that I had passed on that stretch of dual carriageway.
I could very easily have been more 'assertive' in passing the van but that would have involved exceeding the posted speed limit in a car clearly marked as a driving school car.

I have now ordered a GPS equipped dash cam so the footage is more easily understood.

I can't see what you did wrong there.

That is a classic example of someone driving a Transit for the first time. You say they were aware of you but clearly they weren't. The mirrors if not adjusted probably weren't even showing you.

For the first 20 seconds you should be in the left hand lane. I cannot see any reason why you should not be. After you have passed the lorry again, you should be in the left hand lane. Irrespective if somebody is behind you or not.
And as I mentioned. The right hand lane should be used for overtaking. If you cannot pass the transit van without braking the speed limit, slow down and pull him behind him. By matching his speed you are simply stopping people from overtaking you and the van.
As I said, the van is still at fault for cutting you up
