Even worse when you're towing an empty car trailer at night in the rain and there's nothing higher than waist hight on the trailer. They glance over their shoulder to check they've passed you (or you've passed them) and then pull into the lane behind you. Narrowly missing the twenty foot trailer. Hopefully.

In my experience the kind of oblivious morons you get dawdling in the over taking lane are not paying attention anyway, so their entire field of vision seems to be a blind spot, which just makes undertaking them more risky as the chances are they randomly decide to change lane again without looking.

Personally, I vote for legalized dual rocket launchers on the front of cars to just blow them up

I think Id run out of ammo within a few hundred yards of my home for other reasons related to oblivious morons on the roads long before getting to a dual carriageway

if a dual carriageway has a turn left only on the left side lane and right turn only on the right hand side lane, does it mean the cars on the left lane cannot travel faster than the cars on the right lane in the last few hundred yards just before the dual carriageway splits into two single lanes?

Nope, that's fine. You are overtaking slower traffic and you can do so quite legitimately.

As above, because at that point it's not a dual carriageway?

The police can give a fixed penalty for members of the middle owner's club. That is the offence, passing them on the side is not providing you don't do it recklessly. The legislation came in at the same time the tail gaiting became punishable. I will pass the members on the inside. For some reason the M4 between junctions 36 and 37 westbound seems to be their training area. Lane 1 is almost traffic free.
