Nah lost the love, it was making a weird noise and have just neglected it.

I'll probably whack it up on the 306 forum for a couple of hundred or something and see if someone bites.

If I don't get it out of the garage soon the Mrs will lose her mind

Will definitely be checking out the 5008 when it comes time to renew. I think it's the only SUV with 3 full size seats in the second row and 3 isofix points.

Blimey 0-60 in 11 seconds is slow! I think my van can do it quicker than that! I am used to a car that can do it in half that though.

The problem is with extremely slow cars is that people pull onto A roads in front of you in them and can't accelerate up to speed quick enough because their car is too puny, so you end up having to slam the brakes on if there's someone in the outside lane. This happens to me all the time and I don't speed at all, I just sit with cruise control on at 60 on a roads and 70 on motorways. If you want to drive something that's very slow then that's your choice but you should at least wait til there's a gap before pulling in front of people if you know your weedy car isn't capable of getting up to speed.

Anyway each to their own.

Yes, each to their own, if 11 is slow then most cars out there are deemed slow (average car is 11s 0-60 across all ranges)

Just ordered a 150BHP diesel GT Line 3008 in Sunset Copper metallic.  Showed some willpower and only added heated seats and the electric tailgate as options.  Looking at late July delivery.  I've driven the GT Line 150BHP diesel (manual) and the 180BHP diesel GT (automatic).  I was very impressed with both, but couldn't justify the £5k uplift for the GT spec.

I also tried out the Seat Ateca (drives well, but felt bland and 'functional' inside and out, especially compared to the 3008) and the Renault Kadjar which felt really 'cheap' inside.

Peugeot do have aspirations of moving upmarket - this seems like a huge step up for them.

I'm changing from a Mazda6 SportNav estate, and the Peugeot seems much higher quality inside than that.

Based on feedback from family, friends and the local garages german cars seem much less solid than they were five years ago.  The far eastern manufacturers have moved on leaps and bounds, with the French also upping their game significantly.

I wasn't prepared to pay a premium price for a supposedly superior marque.  the JDPower 2016 survey is quite damning J.D. Power 2016 UK Vehicle Dependability Study, though as with all these surveys are the results 'skewed' by expectations being higher for certain marques??

Saw a 3008 for the first time on the weekend, looked really nice and will be taking a closer look when we change our 5 series for something smaller. From a visual point of view i'm not a fan off all the plastic around the bottom and chrome inserts. Also a shame the more powerful petrols only come in automatic.

It would have to come in at less then £300 a month to make it an option as I've found with the French and Korean cars once you start getting decent spec the price goes through the roof.

It's that time of year when thoughts turn to getting a new car, so with the Peugeot dealer being a mere 10 miles away we decided to have a look at the new 3008. Very impressive visually, it was a GT Line on display with an impressive standard equipment list which would cost a small fortune with Audi.

We are going to organise a test drive, the dealer is happy with an hour's drive but they only have a 1.2 petrol manual available and the salesman was really pushing that engine. 1.2 in my very hilly location is surely going to run out of puff. The 1.6 diesel is slow, I've seen milk turn quicker. The 2.0 litre is better but the cost of that puts me back into Audi Q3 territory. Best option seems to be a 1.6 petrol, my only worry is how good is the auto box, especially as I've been used to the VW Group DSG for the last six years.

I have to admit I'm struck by the car. Having looked at the new VW Tiguan an hour or so before which the wife did not like the driving position at all, the 3008 scores better in the quality of the cabin. I wanted to look at a Golf GTD but I was told to act my age not my shoe size.

The 3008 is certainly high on my list. I'll have to ring around other dealers to see if I can get a drive in a 1.6.
