We fly into Seattle at the end of the month and will be staying three nights at Redmond which is a 30min park and ride from the city.

We have dropped markers for places to visit in the city, after that we will play it by ear with nothing booked for the remainder of the fortnight.

We will probably take the Pacific Highway and head south as far as Crater Lake then return through the mountains.

Any tips or places to visit will be much appreciated.

@nabby I think you are familiar with the area?

The hearts don't seem to show anything when I click on them. Am I missing something obvious?

It's only a screenshot so not interactive. The red text next to the heart states what it is.

That makes sense

Not sure what's alongside the Museum Of Pop Culture, but I'm guessing it's the Space Needle.  I'd recommend the Chihuly Garden & Glass Museum, which is also there.  The Monorail goes there from downtown and is fun to ride.

At Lake Union consider renting an electric boat and taking up to Gas Works Park (also worth a visit).

If you could do a reconnaissance of Rockaway Beach while in the area I would be grateful

It's on the 101 so I'm sure we'll pass through.

Had my eye on it for a while, there are some really nice airbnbs with excellent sea views. Looks like a good place for a 4/5 day stay towards the end of a road trip.
