Language gap - just back from USA and they didn't understand a word with my Yorkshire accent
Re the Russians - try Mexicans, especially the ones in massive school groups. Make an art form of pushing in, shouting at people stood literally 30cm away... Having said that I have come across a lot of rude English folk whilst on holiday too.
Them ruskies take a beating. I was in Egypt a few years ago and they were getting hammered on all inclusive wodka at 7am and fighting around the pool by 9! Not to mention some who just decide to sit on your sunbed whilst you're using it!! Also que jumping in the meal lines and picking up food, smelling it and putting it back in the buffet. They were like a bunch of peasants and made the brits want blood. I love Pathos in Cyprus but the last time I was there 3 years ago the bloody Russians had started to appear there as well. These countries should stop offering deals with Russian travel agents as they will destroy the business as us western Europeans are getting fed up with them.
we have various friends who actively seek out other british couples to chat too when they go abroad... we've only really socialised with other brits once, never kept in touch with them afterwards tho...
NO I don't want to use the spa, buy tickets for the waterpark, have my portrait taken, want a day trip to the local waterfall, want to play fudgeing water polo.
