Hate the flights, uncomfortable and boring (do long haul)

Love the weather, stepping out the airport and the heat hitting you, nice

Love: American cars. Manged to blag an upgrade from my usual Dodge Caravan to a Chevy Suburban. It's an absolute beast of a SUV.

Hate: pool cleaner dropping by in the afternoon, and topping it up with cold water.

Love: Private pool where no sales people drop by

I always leave the hose completely uncoiled in the sun on a trickle feed during the days . Then you get warm water going into the pool and no topup required. Never had a pool cleaner complain.

It probably says more about me at my advanced age, but (without wanting to upset families going on holiday) my tolerance level for dodging unruly and unsupervised kids around the hotel and pool is nil. Worst of all is in the dining room, where parents think it's OK for 2 or 3 year olds to go up to the buffet and get their own food! … Twice I've witnessed toddlers licking the ice cream scoop and putting it back in the ice cream! Another thing that really annoys me is the food waste. Greedy barstewards overfilling their plates... and then discovering that they don't like the food and discarding it. …. AND the journey home … hate that hanging about. I'd gladly pay £200 to be beamed home!

RANT OVER!

I avoid all that you just have to know which resorts / areas to avoid.

Yep, for the last 4 years we've been doing adult only hotels... except once!
… doesn't solve the greedy buggers problem though!

You could always try 5* hotels, you get a better class of little hooligan

But yes I totally agree with your rant
