The Anderson shows were a big hit and most of my mates loved them. TV21 was very popular with us.

I've also just remembered TV Comic.

That had all sorts of different tv stuff in it including Dr Who.

As I recall it was aimed at quite a young audience and the stories were very simple.

I got a few of them and I think there was something in one of the early issues and if you checked on a page you won something, and went and lost it.

I wonder if that's the issue where they had a spy quiz and I got all the correct answers.

I sometimes bought Look and Learn which both had comic strips and interesting nonfiction articles.

I also collected a volume of this(albeit not a comic) and still recall the top RH issue.

I used to read Beano, Whoopee and 2000AD. I still have a digital sub to 2000AD and it's better than ever, it has grown up along with its readership.

My Dad had a grocers shop when I was growing up and he was good friends with the newsagent next door and he would regularly come home with bags of unsold comics that he gave him for us. I got to read a big variety of titles in the 70's and 80's.
