So, as there's now (in theory) going to be a delay........

He wasn't talking about Brexit, but what came before. No-one on the Tory benches - including Jenkins - complained when he ruled in favour of them before 2016.

That old stench of napalm as per usual.

No - its a stunt to prevent us leaving. If any part of the legislation is blocked by the remainers we automatically stay in the EU - there is no incentive for the remainers to pass any legislation.

So be the bigger man and rise above his weaknesses, rather then letting them bother you.

Love the use of a pejorative word stunt.

The other side of the same equation is that if the letter wasn't in place the ERG potentially could have pulled a similar manoeuvre and we would crash out.

The letter in itself does not stop us leaving, not even on the 31st.

It's up to Boris now to try to coral enough votes to get the legislation passed, without a 'crash out' gun being held to the heads of MPs so thorough scrutiny of the bill is undertaken.

Or are you only in favour of a crash out?

The difference is that the remainers blocking us leaving is against the result of the Peoples Vote.

Well, in that case, it should be easy enough to set up a crowdfunding campaign, raise the required monies and then take those remainer MPs to court for not upholding the referendum and seeking damages.

So why hasn't anyone done that?

Probably the same reason why nobody takes political parties/MPs to court when they don't uphold their own party's manifesto.

It’s just a signature. Seriously dude, is that that important? It was a long day, perhaps it just got missed. Or perhaps it was deliberate. It really doesn’t matter. It’s not like it was a personal letter between friends was it. It’s just business.

Waste of time and energy, just causing more delays. We are going down the wrong road in my opinion when you want to take everything to court.

I’d be a little concerned if our PM forgot to sign probably the most important (politically at least) letter of his career

It was a deliberate act to distract the media and his supporters from the fact that he previously stated categorically that he would rather be, “dead in a ditch than ask for an extension from the EU” and it seems to have worked on many as that was the focus instead of the fact he asked for an extension.
