Still not sure what your point was unless it is saying Jo Swinson can be trusted unlike the Brown, May and Blair regimes?  You know my previous views on the Lib Dems but coalition forged them into credible, but unpopular, politicians. The key is whether Swinson will continue the high credibility trend whilst improving popularity through an anti-Brexit stance. It is going to be interesting to see...

I suppose next week will be the first electoral test for both Swinson and Johnson.

Doesn't Parliament shut for the summer on Thursday?

Edit: just realised there is probably a bye election next week?

If you scroll up you will find the previous posts brought up Gordon Brown and others. Don't worry too much about it, mods will look after what's posted in threads.

Oh, you went off topic.  My apologies, I thought you were trying to make a relevant point.

I think my point stands though, Jo Swinson's challenge is to keep the hard won credibility of the Lib Dems whilst driving up their popularity.  A formidable task.  I wish her luck!

I see she has started with attacks on both Corbyn:
Jo Swinson rules out Lib Dem pact with Labour under Jeremy Corbyn

...and Johnson:
'Britain deserves better than Boris Johnson,' says new Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson - as it happened

The poll takes place on 1 August.
Your welcome but no, just continuing with a point.

I think a LibLab pact is the most likely outcome. After all, Corbyn has a history with terrorists and she hasn't ruled out becoming one to stop brexit
IMO

I think someone who sticks by the principles is very important.  We need more of that in politics - as I expect Johnson supporters will be saying shortly

Nice get out. Even if we ever had a second referendum and if it was for leave again, we can ignore it, or any vote at all, for anything, as they are not undemocratic, they are "sticking by their principles."

In fact any dictator is not a fascist or undemocratic, just "sticking by their principles" and admired for it.
