There's a thing, its the unreported shame of others, must be useful.  But Justice Committee, there is irony after all.

Amber Rudd in the cross hairs of the Conservative Daily, The Telegraph, over Keith Vaz, wonder what the establishment has to hide.  And unfortunately for Rudd,  yesterday in a whole host of MSM more crosshairs and more slaps in the face for the working classes in Britain, over her decision regarding Battle of Orgreave.

Note:

The Government decided to whip the vote to force Tory MPs to back Mr Vaz to ensure that Labour MPs do not try to seek revenge and oppose Conservative appointments in the future.

How petty.

As I understand it, if its Labour that puts forward a candidate, it is not opposed, purely on political grounds, by the other side. That is why the whips said the Tories should support labour's candidate  Vaz.

It still seems like madness! The man is under two investigations, and is being put forward for the Justice committee?

But legal/ political difficulties aside... Anyone one who has a double life posing as a washing machine salesman, talks about drugs and has secret rendezvous with rent boys in a hotel... while married .... and it becomes public knowledge-------sorry, in my book, they don't get the job.

Perhaps the Tories wanted to support him as they think he might cross the floor.

Sexual deviation tends to be Conservative, Labour tends to be financial irregularities.

If he's very good at his job then all that is irrelevant (in a political sense).

The Tories think he's good otherwise they wouldn't have voted him in, not that they have any hidden agenda of course

Having to whip Conservative Government ministers, such as Amber Rudd Liam Fox, Jeremy Hunt,  David Davis and other such large such Conservative beats as Rees- Mogg, to vote for Vaz, must be that British democracy thingy.

Hopefully he will sell a few to Westminster, my guess he is not that much of legend compared to others, as some partisans are not so keen on having their dirty linen washed in public.
