Perhaps  ....truth....but it can vary depending on how rich you...were you live etc.   Take that  somali chap who had so much to offer but thought that cutting someones  throat would be a good way to intergrate into English society.

Sorry, I would accept nobhead. The k would be preferable linguistically. But yes, I can accept that you are a nobhead.

Many unskilled people who are in work, claim benefits to get by; I don’t see what ethnicity has got to do with it.

Thats the whole point of the welfare system, its why I remain in the UK and pay into the system. I would not expect someone to live the meagre existant of bread and pullet becasue of their inability to work.

What, like all British people who go to Thailand are paedophiles because Gary Glitter did ?
All Football fans are hooligans ?
Everyone from Bingley* murders prostitutes with hammers ?

*actually many people who have been to Bingley may consider that true.

It's the definition of racism - tarring everyone from an ethnic or cultural group with the same brush.

Oops. That would be a 'touch of the tar brush' then?

Maybe a bit derogatory if taken the wrong way, unless that was a deliberate definition?

I believe the two have quite different meanings and origins, tarring in the one case having origins in the verb "to tar" which meant to "defile or dirty". Or some think to do with tarring and feathering.  So tarred with the same brush, shouldn't have any racist connotations.  Whereas the other clearly does.
