Anna Soubry gets name of party wrong - just minutes after it's announced

Anna Soubry got the name of her new political party wrong - just minutes after it was officially announced.

The former Tory MP mistakenly referred to the new group as the Change.org - the name of a petition website.

The Independent Group of 11 MPs who had quit Labour and the Tories, today announced they were becoming an official political party with the name Change UK.

Fiona Onasanya might be trying to join them as she was banging on about being her constituents' voice of change in that video of hers from Manhattan Peterborough.

Change UK election candidate steps down over offensive tweets

Joseph Russo, who had been due to top the party’s list in Scotland, will no longer stand after posts emerged including one that said “black women scare me”.

Within hours of the names being announced, another hopeful, Ali Sadjady, stood down following the emergence of an “inappropriate tweet” posted in 2017.

He had reportedly expressed support for Brexit because, Sadjady said, “70% of the pickpockets caught on the [London Underground] are Romanian”

Now Guido can bring you the quiz we’ve all been waiting for… ‘Who Said It? ChUK 2019 or UKIP 2014?’ Can you guess which are comments from 2019 ChUK MEP candidates and which are from the heady days of UKIP councillors and candidates back in 2014..?
