And you believe every word she says?
She can corroborate this "testimony" can she?

The key difference here being public servants were asked to attend to give a Government opinion.  That makes it open to protest.

Given how much some people like analogies, let's change it to a wedding reception, that is gate crashed by a group of uninvited women wearing sashes proclaiming "Marriage is Slavery" during the grooms speech.  If the Ruby Club members on Table 8 jumped up and threw them out, would that be an issue?

So why have security at all? I'm at a dinner tomorrow night. If it was disrupted by leftie liberals I'd be throwing them out. I don't disturb their events.

I did think about a wedding reception but kept it with the barbecue as we were already there.

My gosh this was an amusing read. The irony of the overreaction of some on here was hilarious. With Farage he was “screaming” [ahem no he was not] at his security guards, and now another reality is being invented.

Why the need for such overreactions?

Looking at how many were there, Governor of the Bank of England, Chancellor Philip Hammond, where was security? She was heading for the top table. If there was a gun in the handbag this could have been a lot worse.

Absolute overreaction by Field in my opinion, and it's interesting to see many of the same people on one side of the current divide defending his actions, and those on the other criticising him.

I think this incident has highlighted some very serious problems our society now faces.

I noticed that too.   Completely OTT hyperbole from two of our top remainers and a much more reasoned approach from the other side
