Again, they haven't asked for help (Syria), in Iraq we are supporting with air strikes..

It might affect the economy or whatever, but I still don't see that as a good enough reason to go and inflame the situation a little bit more.

I'm also not sure how us getting involved in a civil war will improve global stability, in fact the previous wars don't seem to have.

Do you realise how much Saudi spend on buying euro fighters and other western military equipment. They have the means if they should want to do something.

There are plenty of countries with the wealth and ability in that region to do something, but they choose not to and we make things worse.

I'll let your little judgement of me go, but that's ridiculous - war doesn't necessarily solve problems. Especially when they are fighting because you keep bombing them

It's not as simple as going over there, killing a few of them and were sorted, they just regroup and hate the west even more.

I agree with you on most points.

However if IS/ISIS/ISIL etc are not stopped they will continue on their path.

At some point we will need to be involved as they have to be stopped.

At some point maybe, but only with complete backing and leading from the (Muslim) gulf states.

My only point is that we cause our own problems by jumping in and backing a side that then turns on us, and causes a whole load of people to hate the west more.

Now if we have the backing of the majority of the region, and it's not the west picking on the Middle East then fine, but until then we need to leave well alone
